Product Overview

The MAX31865 is an easy-to-use resistance-to-digital converter optimized for platinum resistance temperature detectors (RTDs). An external resistor sets the sensitivity for the RTD being used, while a precision Δ-Σ ADC converts the RTD resistance ratio to reference resistance into digital form.

The MAX31865 inputs are protected against overvoltage faults up to ±45V. It includes programmable detection for RTD and cable open/short conditions.
