What is a PSiP power supply?
PSiP (Power Supply in Package) is a highly integrated power supply solution that integrates ics, MOS, capacitors and resistors in the package. It can be said to be "small but complete".
PSiP power supplies can be widely applied in multiple industries such as consumer electronics, industrial control, power, and instrumentation. The KAP series of product modules are suitable for wearable devices, smart phones, PDAs, handheld game consoles, portable navigation devices, etc., especially for high-efficiency micro portable instruments. The KAE24xxT-0.5A series can also be applied in space-constrained application scenarios such as sensors, transmitters, and power grid infrastructure.

① Miniature and extremely thin, with a minimalist peripheral
The KAP series of Jinshengyang non-isolated PSiP power supplies adopts the industry's advanced DFN packaging process technology and is renowned for its "small size". Previously, the KAP05_T-1A has a volume smaller than that of a 1206 capacitor, measuring only 2.5 x 2.0 x 1.2 mm. Today, the KAP12T continues the series' features, with dimensions of only 3.0x 2.8x 1.6mm. Compared to the conventional K78 product (11.50x 9.00mm), its board area has decreased by 110%, perfectly meeting the demand for extreme size in fields such as electronics and consumer goods.
The KAP12T series has an input voltage ranging from 4.5 to 17VDC and an output voltage adjustable from 0.6 to 5.5VDC. The output current is 1A&2A. The peripheral requirements are extremely simple, and the output voltage can be adjusted through a sampling resistor, simplifying the design.
② High full-load efficiency and no derating at high temperatures
Based on the demands and feedback of the same series of products in terminal applications, the KAP12T optimization platform has undergone a brand-new performance upgrade, with a full-load efficiency as high as 92%, leading the industry's similar products (the full-load efficiency hovers between 85% and 90%). Moreover, the KAP12T does not require a heat sink and can operate at 85℃ under full load without derating, helping application systems bid farewell to the problem of "overheating but not working".
③DFN plastic sealing process, high reliability
Jinshengyang has always adhered to the management philosophy of "surviving by quality and developing by innovation", and has truly integrated it into its products. The PSiP power supply adopts advanced DFN plastic packaging technology and strictly follows the quality management system to complete reliability tests. For instance, in the pretreatment stage, it undergoes baking, moisture absorption, three 245℃ reflow soldering tests, double 85 (85℃, 85%RH) tests, 500 temperature cycle impacts from -55℃ to +125℃, and high-temperature working life tests, etc. Let users introduce it without worry.
