The GX2431 is a 1024-bit EEPROM that communicates via standard single-bus protocol. It features four independent 256-bit memory pages. Data is initially written to an 8-byte register and, after verification, copied to EEPROM memory. Each memory page can be individually configured for write protection or EPROM emulation mode, where bits can only transition from 1 to 0. The chip operates on the 1-Wire bus protocol and contains a factory-programmed, non-modifiable 64-bit ROM address code for device identification in multi-point network environments.
