The TLC59108 is an I2C bus controlled 8-bit LED driver optimized for red/green/blue/amber (RGBA) color mixing and backlight applications.

1-MHz Fast Mode Plus compatible I2C bus interface

Internal power-on reset and active-low reset
256-step (8-bit) linear programmable brightness per LED output
Noise filter on SCL/SDA inputs with no glitch on power up
256-step group brightness control and group blinking
Supports hot insertion
Four hardware address pins allowing 14 devices on same I2C bus
3.3-V or 5-V supply voltage operation
Software-programmable I2C bus addresses and software reset feature
Open-load/overtemperature detection for individual LED error detection
Constant output current adjustable through external resistor (10mA to 120mA)
