CN3722 A 5A multi-type battery charging management integrated circuit with maximum power point tracking function for solar cells

CN3722 is a PWM voltage reduction mode charging management integrated circuit that can be powered by solar cells and has a maximum power point tracking function for solar cells. CN3722 has a constant current and constant voltage charging mode, which is very suitable for the charging management of single or multiple lithium batteries or lithium iron phosphate batteries. The constant current charging current is set by the current detection resistor R_CS connected between the CSP pin and the BAT pin. In the constant voltage charging mode, the constant voltage charging voltage is set by the external resistance voltage divider network. When the voltage at the VCC pin simultaneously meets the following three conditions: (1) The voltage at the VCC pin is greater than the low voltage latch threshold (2) The voltage at the VCC pin is greater than the battery voltage (3) The voltage at the VCC pin is not less than the set maximum power point voltage, the charger operates normally and charges the battery. If the battery voltage is lower than 66.7% of the set constant voltage charging voltage, the charger automatically enters the trickle charging mode, at which point the charging current is 15% of the set constant current charging current. When the battery voltage is greater than 66.7% of the set constant voltage charging voltage, the charger enters the constant current charging mode, and the charging current is set by the internal 200mV reference voltage and an external resistor RCS, that is, the charging current is 200mV/R_CS.
