3 Description

The DRV883x device series offers an integrated motor driver solution for cameras, consumer products, toys, and other low-voltage or battery-powered motion control applications. This device can drive a DC motor or other devices (such as solenoids). The output driver module is composed of N-channel power MOSFETs configured as H-bridges, which are used to drive the motor windings. An internal charge pump is used to generate the required gate drive voltage. The DRV883x device series can provide an output current of up to 1.8A. It operates on motor power supply voltages ranging from 0 to 11V and device power supply voltages within the range of 1.8V to 7V. The DRV8837 features a PWM (IN/IN) input interface. The DRV8838 device has a PH-EN input interface. Both of these interfaces are compatible with industry standard devices. It also provides internal shut-off functions for overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, undervoltage locking and overheat protection.
